En plein air, a French phrase meaning "in the open air," describes the process of painting a landscape outdoors.
I have a great group of friends that I go plein air painting with. In 2022 we explored the Wind River Range in Wyoming.
I had the pleasure of plein air painting in the Rio Grande National Forest in the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado (2021) with awesome friends.
